Bus Driver Application

Description: Children’s Choice is seeking a responsible and reliable individual to join our team as a Bus Driver. The primary responsibility of this position is to safely transport elementary school children on field trips with adult supervision on board.

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Hours:

Tuesday to Friday afternoons (typically 2pm-6pm) during the school year
Monday to Friday up to 40 hours during summer

Compensation: $35 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a school bus or similar vehicle to transport elementary school children to various field trip destinations.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers on board during transportation.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
Communicate effectively with school staff and chaperones to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times.
Provide excellent customer service to both adults and children.

Requirements:

Valid Class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.
Proven experience in driving a school bus or similar vehicle.
Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations.
Ability to pass a background check.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to adults and children.
Professional, warm, and friendly demeanor.
